The Tube-Frame Taproom Bench takes the booth back off the floor. A single run of black steel tubing bends up from the legs to carry a slim upholstered back panel, leaving the space under the seat and behind the back open. In a narrow taproom that openness keeps the room feeling wide and makes the floor easy to mop.
The seat is a deep tan leather-look cushion with tonal piping; the back is an oatmeal textured pad edged in mustard. Mixing a wipe-clean seat with a softer back is deliberate: the seat takes the spills, the back takes the shoulders.
Construction. The frame is round steel tube, bent rather than welded at the corners, powder coated black and finished with floor glides. The seat sits on a plywood platform screwed to the frame, and the back panel bolts on from behind, so either part can be swapped later.
Where it works. Along a wall opposite loose chairs, in window bays, or as the long side of a communal table where a solid booth would feel too heavy.
Length, frame color, seat and back coverings are made to order; longer runs get a center leg.
