A chair that earns its place in a beer hall by being easy to move, easy to look through and hard to ruin. The seat and the back are both woven from thick brown rope in an open lattice, wrapped around a black-stained timber frame, so there is nothing to soak up a spill.
The frame is solid timber with flat, squared corner joints, a straight back post that rises to hold the woven back panel, and slim stretchers between the legs for racking resistance. The legs taper slightly toward the floor. In a busy room the open weave keeps sight lines clear, so a row of these doesn't look like a wall of chairs.
Where it works. Beer halls, taprooms with communal tables, outdoor-covered patios, brewery restaurants.
Care. Rope weave can be brushed or vacuumed and wiped with a damp cloth; avoid soaking it.
Options. Rope color, frame stain and seat height can be specified; a padded seat can be quoted for longer sits. Dimensions are confirmed on the shop drawing.
