The Checkerboard Strap Booth brings color to a room full of steel and stainless. Its light oak frame holds a tall back and two arm panels woven from flat leather straps, dyed red, mustard, olive and cream and laid in an over-under check, so no two squares sit side by side in the same tone.
The seat is a single cream fabric cushion with ochre piping, set on a deck inside the frame. The back rises to roughly shoulder height and curves gently at the top corners into the arms, which are rounded where hands rest.
Construction. Solid oak posts and rails with a clear lacquer; the strap panels are woven onto separate frames that fix into the main frame, so a damaged panel can come out and be re-woven without dismantling the booth. Straps are leather with an edge finish to stop fraying.
Where it works. Taprooms with food service, beer gardens under cover and family-friendly brewpubs that want a booth people remember and photograph.
Size, oak tone and the strap palette are made to order: a single-color weave or two-tone check suits quieter rooms.
