The Ash Twin-Rail Chair is a quiet, pale chair for rooms with plenty going on elsewhere. Two thin, gently curved rails form the back, set between rear posts that run in one line from floor to top rail. The seat is woven from cream paper cord in a straight, tight pattern over a timber frame.
Legs are turned round and taper towards the floor, finished with small glides. With no upholstery and a slim profile, the chair is light to move between table set-ups and doesn't block sightlines across a busy floor.
Construction. Solid ash with a clear matt lacquer; back rails are steam-bent and set into the posts with mortise joints, and the cord seat is woven on a separate frame that drops into the chair, so a worn seat can be swapped as a unit.
Where it works. Daylight taprooms, brewery cafés, tasting rooms with long pale-timber tables and anywhere you'd like the chairs to recede.
Ash stain, cord color and optional seat pads are made to order. For a darker room, the same chair is available in a walnut or black stain.
