Chesterfield booths bring a club-room weight to a taproom that serves food. Each two-seat booth has a channel-tufted back that rolls over into rounded arms, in a dark chocolate leather, sitting on a base with a quilted lower panel. The set is shown in two rooms: one with stone-pattern tops and fabric-back side chairs, the other with pale wood tables and bentwood-style armchairs on the aisle side.
Pieces. Two-seat chesterfield booths, placed facing across rectangular tables; dining tables on black pedestal bases; upholstered wood-frame side chairs or armchairs for the open ends.
Construction. Hardwood frames; HR foam; leather or leather-look contract vinyl; quilted base panel; table tops in laminate, veneer or sintered stone on steel bases; chairs in solid hardwood with upholstered seats.
Living with beer. Dark leather and a channel back are forgiving; keep tufting off the seat so it can be wiped quickly between covers.
Where it works. Steakhouse-style brewpubs, beer and whiskey bars with dinner service, and hotel bars that pour local craft.
Options. Leather tone, arm style, table tops and sizes, chair fabric. Foam specified to CAL TB 117-2013 on request.
