The cast-iron bistro base has outlived every furniture fashion in pubs for a reason: it is heavy, it doesn't wobble, and it looks right next to a brass beer rail. This one has a turned column with ring details and a four-claw foot with scrolled ends, finished in black. On top is a round walnut-tone top with a molded double edge.
The proportions shown suit a standing-height table for two or three around a pint and a board of snacks.
Construction. Cast-iron base, powder coated black, with adjustable glides on each foot; solid wood or veneered top with a molded edge and PU lacquer, bolted to a steel spider plate.
Living with beer. The lacquer resists rings from wet glasses; the iron foot takes kicks from stools without marking.
Heights. Made at 42 in bar height for standing rails and stools, at 36 in counter height, or at 30 in dining height.
Where it works. Taproom standing zones, pub bar areas, beer garden terraces under cover, and brewery bottle shops with a tasting corner.
Options. Top diameter and finish, height, base finish.
