The Deep-Button Publican Booth is the classic British pub booth, built to contract spec. Its tall oxblood back is deep-buttoned in a diamond grid, high enough to give a table its own room inside a busy bar. A dark walnut top rail caps the back and a matching wood plinth carries the seat.
The seat itself is plain, with a squared front edge, because buttons on a seat collect crumbs and wear through first.
Construction. Hardwood and plywood frame; back built on a plywood board with deep buttons tied through it; HR foam; leather or leather-look contract vinyl; solid walnut-tone top rail and plinth with PU lacquer.
Living with beer. Oxblood hides beer and gravy marks. Specify real leather if you want it to age, or contract vinyl if you want it to look the same in five winters.
Where it works. Gastropubs, brewery-owned pubs, Irish and British-style bars, and the snug corner of a larger taproom.
Options. Back height, button pattern, cover, wood finish, single or double-sided, length. Foam specified to CAL TB 117-2013 on request; UK projects can be specified toward BS 5852 crib 5.
